What a find!! Such a cute vintage bookstore. They sell classics, thrifted books, and newer titles with those special edition covers as well! There are sections for historical fiction, sci-fi, fiction, comics… a little bit of everything for the whole family. Decent pricing and the staff was great w suggestions. Got a free bookmark w our purchase as well

I love discovering new bookstores. This is a gem for any bookworm featuring both new and used books, some games and a decent vinyl record section. There were categories including young adult, horror and sci-fi. The cashier was very friendly and they offer you a free bookmark with purchase!

It is always a pleasure to come across a proper book shop. Staff were helpful. Picked up a signed book from a local author . A small highlight on our trip. It's the little things that make a place special.

Wonderful little bookstore. Great Science Fiction section with both new and old works. (Found an old fantasy book I'd been looking for!) Even found an old soundtrack LP for Space 1999 in their vinyl selection. Didn't have time to rummage through their comics, maybe next time. The prices were good and easily have the best storefront Appeal I've seen in a while! Ya' just gotta go!

Stopped in at this little bookstore, it's kind of hidden. 2 story with a nice selection of used vinyl. It's got a very cozy feeling and is awesome in the summer or winter.

We were walking around and the outside of this bookstore caught our attention. It is such a cute place for fellow book lovers. They have a good collection of books from brand new to used paperbacks. I appreciate that they have a section dedicated to books about Galveston. Two stories. I definitely recommend visiting while on the island!

Super cute book store! Cozy feeling and feels welcoming. The staff was friendly and greeted everyone who came in. They were also supper helpful with trying to find the right size shirt for me! 💜❤️ Definitely a spot to visit and we will for sure be back when we come down this way. They had a vast selection to choose from and some old and new. Also, there shirts are great!

Truly a jem. Old school bookstore feel with new publications and old publications. Rare finds and just an amazing atmosphere. CHOOSE LOCAL SUPPORT LOCAL!!!!!!

Cozy, whimsical, and historical is how I would describe the Galveston Bookshop. Walking in felt like walking into a storybook waiting to be read. With the many quiet nooks, you’re bound to find a quiet place to sit and read. It’s a used bookstore with a broad selection of genres. They also sell records which would be perfect for collectors. I bought a new journal from their many gorgeous journal designs. My daughter stumbled upon some books she had her eye on for some time. The store is huge so I’m sure you’d find something worthwhile. I was looking for some philosophy books and the attendant led me right to them. I was happy to see that the prices were reasonable and within my budget. This helps when you’re a bibliophile like me. This bookstore felt like it has its roots in Galveston. It’s a well-known local used bookstore you’ll be happy to visit. Me and my daughter's left with some gems we can't wait to sink into.
